Futon Price Rises for Jan 2009

Friday 21 November 2008

Please note that many of the sources of raw materials have risen over the past few months. This factor, combined with the lower value of the pound against the dollar will lead to price rises on many futon products in the new year.
Most types of futon frames are supplied from Malaysia, Vietnam and China where these goods are traded in US Dollars. I'm sure many people are aware that the pound has fallen by around 25%+ against the dollar. This situation will, without doubt, lead to price rises in January, so take advantage of this situation and buy your futon now!

  1. I'm also a futon retailer and have been shocked at the fall of the value of the pound. I have decided despite the temptation, that it isn't worth cutting the quality of the products we sell. I would hope that the buying public thinks likewise and resist buying the junk that is beginning to appear on the internet. One way to look at it, is that if you buy a decent product you will still have it long after the credit crunch is over,
but if you buy an unsuitable, thin futon it might need replacing as soon as a month after purchase.
