Google Rankings...go to page two to support independent businesses!

I'm sure that many of you have noticed the recent invasion of page one of Google organic listings and how the 'big boys' of business have started to take this page over?
Google Search used to be the one place that you could seek out alternative and different products and information from independent sources and retailers without having to conform to the ideas and profit driven motives of the multi-national chains but this now seems to be fading away as these companies have stepped up their manipulation of Google's search criteria. Do we really need to be told of the existence of Tesco and Argos, isn't the reason we're using Google in the first place to avoid them?
Well, if you want to support smaller, independent, businesses the do what I do...skip to page two! Better still, let Google know, tell them you preferred the old results, do something before the internet becomes just a virtual out-of-town retail park!!
