These great quality futon sofa beds are using solid Oak timber for the arms and supporting areas that is free of the finger jointed timber commonly found on budget rubberwood futon sofa beds from certain high street supermarkets and catalogue stores!! The sleeping and sitting platforms are slatted with mature pine timber for strength and good ventilation to support the (Devon made) futon mattress.

This is a beautiful futon frame, Oak seems to be the timber of choice for the near future, to replace rubberwood which is getting much harder to source from eco suppliers,
